NON-ARYAN CHILDREN

BRITAIN TO HOUSE 50,000 FROM GERMANY LONDON, 25th November. Six hundred Jewish and non-aryan Christian children from Germany will probably leave for England shortly. They will be housed in a holiday camp on the east coast, and will be the forerunners of 50,000 on whose behalf Lord Samuel and Lord Selborne are making an appeal. Area committees will be constituted Wherever people will take children into their homes or provide for their care the children will be returned to their parents immediately the latter have left Germany and are able to support them. A message from Paris states that an appeal is being made to President Roosevelt to induce the South American republics to help solve the refugee problem. The Foreign Minister, M. Bonnet, is understood to have offered to receive 10.000 refugees if Britain and America will do likewise. The Red Cross League is investigating the possibilities of assistance.
