FINED FOR BOOKMAKING
(United Press Association* WELLINGTON, This Day. A fine of £2O, in default a month's imprisonment, was imposed on Harold Rogers, aged 30, labourer, by Mr Stilwell, S.M., on a bookmaking charge, to which he pleaded guilty. For accused it was stated that he was not in a big way and his heart was not in it, for he had given it up “long before” detectives called on him.
