DEPARTURE OF FORDSDALE
FROZEN MEAT FOR LONDON | The overseas steamer Fordsdale, I which departed at 12.45 o’clock yesterj day afternoon for New Plymouth, discharged 950 tons of cargo at Nelson. The vessel loaded 812 bags of veal, beef and sundries, 298 cartons of «undreis, 1239 carcases of pork. 68 sides of pork, 57 carcases of lamb, 141 carcases of mutton, 99 barrels of tallow, 113 bales of wool, 54 bales of skins, 79 bales of hops; 50 tierces of tobacco leaf, and 118 drums, 99 barrels and 18 casks l of tallow, for London. While the ship was being loaded one ' bale of hops fell into the sea.
