DISTRICT BRANCHES An important step in the work allottei to the Nelson Early Settlers' Memorial Association is the formation of district branches throughout the province and it is gratifying to find that a ready response js being made to the request of the president (Mr J. A. Harley) for the cooperation of all concerned. The right choice of a suitable form of memorial for ruch an important and worthy occasion is one that concerns every part of the proA public meeting is to be held at Richmond next week when Mr Hailey will he present to give all the information imcm. sary !o the formation of a branch of the Association and on matters pertaining to the proposed memorial. The meeting will b 1 hold in the Council Chamber* on Wednesday evening at 8 o'dock when the Mayor (Mr A. It. Tuffnell) will preside.
