WELLINGTON. This Day. General situation: A shallow depression lies across the North Island, but is moving eastwards. An anti-cyclone now extends from south-eastern Australia on to New Zealand. The forecast is for light to moderate and variable winds, with south-west to southerly predominating. Weather fine and cool to-night, warmer to-morrow. Seas slight to moderate.
