At a tennis tournament between New South Wales and Victoria, which opened to-day, Bromwich beat his Davis Cup team-mate, Quist, 8-6. 6-1. Crawford beat Hopman 9-7, 7-5. The Victorian. Jack Harper, caused a surprise by beating the Sydney player. J. Gilchrist, 6-4. 7-5.
