TO BE INDEPENDENT OF LEAGUE HIGH COMMISSIONER TO RESIGN 11/ P A.— Bv Electrio Telegraph—Copyrigbf 1 WARSAW. 24th November. The intention of Professor Karl Burckhardt to resign the Danzig High Commissionership was announced by the pro-Government newspaper from Danzig to-day. It adds that the office wil be liquidated, making Danzig independent of the League of Nations, whereupon the statute will be replaced by an agreement between Poland and Germany.
