CONSULATE AT LENINGRAD
BRITAIN OPPOSED TO CLOSING [United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] (Received 14th January, 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, 13th January. It is announced that Britain intends to oppose the Russian request to close the Consulate at Leningrad. Britain will refuse to recognise the principle of parity in consular representation feeling that representation depends on the amount of wox-k offering and that she needs the offices at Moscow and Leningrad.
