Further negotiations I are proceeding regarding the hours of play. NEW ZEALANDERS’ PLAY (Received 17th November, 11.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. C. G. MacArtney, commenting in the "Hera!.!.” says: "Although Victoria defeated New Zealand by a handsome margin, it had anxious moments before that result was effected. The New Zealand bowling was not sufficiently formidable to drive home the advantage gained in the first innings, and (Infielding was hardly up to that displayed earlier in the match. The general cricket of the New Zealanders was of a refreshing character, and it seems to matter little to them whether they win or lose as long as entertaining methods are employed.”
