BOXING MANAGERS SUSPENDED

The British Boxing Board of Control announces the suspensions of Bill Daly and Paul Damski after an inquiry into the scene following the StricklandNeusel fight. Daly was suspended until 11th December and Damski until his licence expires, after which he must appear before the stewards before a renewal will be granted.
After the fight in which the German boxe: Walter Neusel beat the New Zealander Maurice Strickland at Wembley on 19th October angry words were exchanged by their managers in Neusel's dressing-room. They eventually came to blows and had to be forcibly s< arated by the police, who escorted Damski, Neusel’s Lithuanian-born manager, from the building.
