VAN STRIKES POLE OUTSIDE HOSPITAL
FIVE PEOPLE INJURED ACCIDENT EARLY YESTERDAY MORNING At about 12.45 o'clock yesterday morning a milk delivery van with five occupants collided with an electric light pole opposite the Public Hospital, the van being considerably damaged, and all the passengers injured. The party was returning from attending a dance in the country when tire accident happened. The vehicle is owned by R. J. Gamboni, who was a passenger, and was driven by Patrick W. Linton, aged 20 years. The latter sustained concussion and minor cuts, while Gamboni suffered a fractured rib, and Ronald A. Peters cuts and lacerations. Mrs M. Amaleric suffered a compound fracture of the right leg, head injuries and shock. The fifth member. Miss Kathleen Bowman, was only slightly injured. All were treated at the hospital, which reported to-day that they were progressing favourably. Miss Bowman was discharged.
