DISTURBING THE PEACE

[To The Editor] r Sir,—Some individual last Saturday night must have thought that he was due for a night out. From 11.30 p.m. to 12.15 a.m. he was riding a powerful motor bike up and down Collingwood street at anything from 50 to 60 miles an hour as if he had permission from the City Council to do so. Sooner or later as he careers across the intersections there will be a tragedy, and this individual will be in it. Before this occurs, I trust that our traffic inspector or police will trap him, and deal with him in a manner which he deserves. This is not a first offence by any means and these offenders have yet to learn that they cannot ride about the streets at all hours of the night disturbing the peace.—l am etc. CATCH HIM. Nelson, 18th October.
