LABOUR CANDIDATE FOR NELSON
T> Tlie Editor I Sir, —I notice that certain people who are writing to your paper are interested in putting forward a candidate in the interests of labour at the next election. I would advise them to join the party and give their monetary assistance and help to do the spade work instead of asking someone else to do it for them. I have been an active member and worker in the laimur movement for a number of years, and I am, as anxious as anyone to have a representative in our district, but considering all the issues at stake, I do not thin!: it would be advisable at present. I know that some people would like to unseat our present member for personal reasons alone but in my opinion party interests should come first. —I am etc. CAMPAIGNER. Nelson, 18th October.
