I United Press Association H.v Electric Teiecraph -Copyrichtl (Received 13th September, 10.55 a.m.) MELBOURNE. This Day. Candidates for the Victorian Assembly must be circumspect in their campaign activity, for if they provide free entertainment, free meals, or free drinks for the electors to woo their support they may be adjudged guilty of "treating.'’ and may be debarred from entering tile Assembly until the following General Election. This warning was given officially after it was reported that some candidates would include free entertainment for the electors in their campaign programmes.
