An inquest into the death of Mrs Winifred Jane Smith, aged 45, who was found dead in a bath at her home at Herne Bay, was held before the Coroner (Mr F. K. Hunt) Mrs Smith's husband, Edward Smith, chemist said that when he returned home from church on Sunday,- sth September, with his son and daughter, he found his wife lying in the bath with her head submerged Pier clothes were folded on a chair and the taps were turned off. Mrs Smith had been in good health. A verdict was returned of accidental drowning.
