ANNUAL RERUITJ The following report was presented : During the early part of the season the Club had with much regret to accept the resignation of its president, the Rev. Canon G. A. Grossman, on account o! transfer to Hamilton, who for a number of seasons so capably fi 1 led this position. A resolution of appreciation for his serv ices was passed at the special general meeting called to elect his successor (Mr A G. Nightingale) and a presentation was made front members on the eve of his deiiprtlire. A presentation was also made to Air X. -I. Lewis and .Miss A. Ross on the occasion of their wedding, members wishing thrill all good luck. The [last season was by no means up to Hie Clubs standard of activities of pievjuus years, only one inlcr-cliib mulch being played, that between Hie Upper .Moutere Club and ourselves. 'Tins was a very pleasant occasion and greatly enjoyed by ail wlio look part in it. It is miicli to be regretted that more of these mulches are not arranged and your committee hopes that the coming season will see a revival of activities ill tins direction. -As regards membership, this has also been disappointing and we hope to see llie position amended during the coming season and more new members joining up. The question ol a new court is still held in abeyance owing to lack id' linance and the (Tub w ill be faced with Llie repairing of the courts already in existence, w loch aio to sav the least in

a had condition. Your committee would point out that it has not had llm general support from members that, it should have, but hopes that the coming season will see a revival of interest m alt branches of the Club s activities, especially in running events within the Club, such as ladder matches, championship senes, yankec tournaments, etc., and inter-club matches. As regards finance the year ends with a small cash balance and assets si ill exceed lialiililies. A cmi comuiiit.ee.' looks forward to a brighter and mine prosperous season than llie past one; hut it all depends on mi'inie'is pulling their full weight in mailers Miceling the l bibs we I fare.' ; and a great deal of hard work will have to bo done lo put I lie Clubs allairs cm a fair run mug basis again.
