HOUSES DAMAGED
WHIRLWIND AT GREYMOUTH [By Telegraph—Press Association] GREYMOUTH, This Day. A whirlwind at 8.45 p.m. partially wrecked residences in Chapel street. A veranda was torn from a residence, two balconies were blown off another residence, which the occupants hastily left, a third house had its windows shattered and trees were daamged outside. There was no damage elsewhere.
