Hemp: Manila, market quiet and easier. “K” grade for May-June shipments closing values £32 10s. Sisal: Market quiet. May shipments sold early this week £29 12s 6d; closing values. May-July shipments, £29 7s 6d. New Zealand, nothing to report. Peas: Maples, market quiet; buyers reserved. Early this month “A” grade Tasmanian for Mayshipments sold 57s 6d. Recently New Zealand—old crops —according to sample for May-June shipments sold at 525. New crops No. 1 for May-June shipments offered at 555; “A” grade Tasmania 57s 6d without finding buyers. Blues: Better demand. “A” grade Tasmanian for MayJune shipments sold £l2.
