Mr James Moffatt of Belfast, formerly a petty-officer on H.M.S. Collingv.ood, in a letter to the press, pays a tribute to the King’s part in the Battle of Jutland. ’He was stationed in the foremost turret of the Collingwood. working instruments on which depended the accuracy, of the guns. He displayed an utter disregard for 'himself and put every ounce of manhood into his duty.” Mr Moffatt adds he is sure of the facts because he was the King’s companion in the turret throughout the battle.
