The Commonwealth Government is granting £2500 towards the expenses of holding an Empire agricultural conference at Sydney next year as part of the 150th anniversary celebrations. Negotiations are in progress with farmers’ organisations throughout the Empire with a view to arranging a suitable dale. DEATH AT SEA CAPTAIN OF THE CHAGRES AFTER RESCUE OF C. B. Pedersen, Commander Morgan, captain of the Chagres, which had collided with the sailing ship oil the Azores, died of a heart attack.
