ROAD COURTESY
WARNING TO OFFENDERS ATTENDANCE AT INSTRUCTION CLASSES [By Telegraph—Press Association] WELLINGTON. This Day. A warning that motorists who were ordered by the Court to attend instruction classes for delinquent drivers and treated the matter lightly would be dealt with severely, was given by Mr Mosley S.M., in an interview. The scheme was introduced by Mr Moslev last Thursday, when he admitted to probation two motor-cyclists who were charged with dangerous driving, and ordered them to attend clases in driving and road courtesy. "There will be no treating the matter lightly,” Mr Mosley said. “Any person brought before the Court fo disobeying the terms of his probation will be dealt with in the most rigorous manner, because of the gravity of the offence against Section 28 of thr Motor Vehicles Regulations.” Mr Mosley said the new procedure would be a permanent institution. The Wellington traffic authorities and the Transport Department and Probation Officer were co-operating with the greatest readiness to make the scheme a success.
