FORMER TOWN CLERK PLEADS GUILTY
THEFT OF OVER £2OO FROM GERALDINE COUNCIL ACCUSED REMANDED FOR SENTENCE |By Telegraph - Press Association! TIMARU. This Day. At the Magistrate’s Court Lionel Francis Grimstone, formerly Town Clerk at Geraldine, appeared before Mr H. Morgan, S.M. charged with having stolen the sum of £206 19s lOd. the property of the Council. After hearing the evidence of Adam S. Hamilton. Government audit inspector, and Detective Thomas, accused pleaded guilty and was remanded to the Supreme Court for sentence.
