ALL-ENGLAND WOMEN’S HOCKEY TEAM
MAY TOUR DOMINION NEXT YEAR [United Press Association] WELLINGTON, 28th April. An all-England women’s hockey team will probably be invited to tour New Zealand in 1938. At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Women’s Hockey Association to-night a suggestion from England that representatives would be willing to travel was well received. Delegates agreed that the tour would be valuable, but were reluctant to commit associations, particularly in view of the financial losses over the Fijian tour. It was decided to inform the English Association by cable that the proposed tour would probably be acceptable, but definite advice w'ould be sent in a month when the associations had been consulted on their willingness to finance the matches.
