Governor F. Murphy said that he is disturbed by a report that the Chrysler “sit-down” strikers are planning to defy the court order, and indicated )!; that he intends to enforce it. The Remington Rand Corporation • ** announced that it would not comply with the Labour Relations Board’s order and intends to start a Federal Court action to set aside the order. Board officials said they will seek a court action to compel compliance.
The National Labour Relations Board ruled that the Remington Rand Corporation was engaged _~in wholesale violations of the Wagner Act and resorted to ruthless methods to break the strike of six thousand employees which commenced on 26th May, about four thousand still being on strike. The board ordered the reinstate--ment of discharged union leaders, and all strikers were instructed that the company would bargain with the union exclusively. , . .
