FIRST OF SEASON WOOL SALES
AUCKLAND’S FINAL FIGURES LARGEST DISTRIBUTION SINCE 1928 (By Telegraph—l’rcns Association) AUCKLAND, This Day. Final figures for the first Auckland wool sale of the season, held on 28th November, show that the proceeds totalled £439,270, the largest distribution since 1928 when £496,000 was paid. The total compared with £240,154 for the first sale of the 1935-36 season. The average price was £2O 10s 6d per bale, and 14.225 d per pound.
