DEPREDATIONS OF DOGS
AMONG SHEEP AT PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL’S CONCERN (By Telegraph—Press Association) PALMERSTON N., This Day. , Concern has been caused to the Palmerston North City Council by the depredations of dogs among sheep grazing on areas under the Council’s control. On Wednesday afternoon it was discovered that an Alsatian and a bulldog had attacked a flock on the golf course reserve, with the result that nine sheep were found dead and twenty others severely injured. The dogs were caught and killed. The Council has issued an appeal to dogowners to keep their animals under control. Otherwise serious action is contemplated.
