GREETINGS ABROAD
REDUCED RATES FOR MESSAGES The Chief Postmaster (Mr A. W. Wallace) advises that special arrangements have been made for the acceptance during the period 14th instant to 6th proximo, inclusive, of Christmas and New Year greetings overseas, message addressed to any place in Australia, Fiji, the Islands of the Southern Pacific, Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Irish Free State, Canada, the United States of America, and to certain other countries.
The rate to Australia is Is 6d for ten words and 2d for each additional word.
To Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Irish Free State, India, and certain other inter-Empire points, the rate is 4s for ten words and 5d for each additional word, whilst to certain .Islands in the Southern Pacific the rate is 2s 6d for ten words and 3d for each additional word. The rate to the United States of America and to all other countries which admit telegrams at the. DLT rate will be the word rate for DLTs, with a minimum charge as for ten words.
Greetings messages at reduced rates may not be accepted for the Union of Soviet Socialistic Republics.
