ALL SAINTS’ PARISH:

PORT MISSION HALD SUNDAY SCHOOL PRIZE-GIVING The Port Mission Hall was well filled with parents and scholars for the annual prize-giving last night. Associated with the vicar of the- parish, Canon D. Haultain, were-the ReV.Neil Chambers, curate, Mrs Oliver, superintendent of the Primary .School, and Mrs Wilkes, who presented- the prizes. . : . '-Lv Mrs Oliver presented the report on the Primary Department - for 1936. Members and attendances had improved. The work of the department was maintained at a high standard, and the conduct generally of the pupils was vepy good. . Canon Haultain reviewed the year from the Senior Department point of view. Owing to the departure of teachers from the school and the difficulty of replacing them, the work wds carried on under great difficulties. At the close of the year it was. decided to transfer the classes to the morning Sunday School at the Parish Church. The pupils had loyally cooperated, and it - was hoped the arrangement would be to the mutual benefit of both schools. Staff changes include:--Resignation by removal from Nelson: Mr Bert.
