PERSONAL ITEMS
Dr. L. I. Parton, formerly of Nelson, who recently went to England to pursue his medical studies, and who was attached to the Princess Beatrice Hospital for some time, is now on the staff of the L.C.C. Hospital at Paddington. Among the apologies received at the marriage presentation to Mr and Mrs Atmore on Friday night was one from Mr Gould, chairman of the Harbour Board, who conveyed the felicitations of that body. Mr S. Kenning leaves tomight for Wellington to attend a sitting of the Conciliation Council as assessor for West Coast, Marlborough and Nelson in the building trades dispute. His Honour Mr Justice Ostler, who is presiding at the Supreme Court this week, is a *guest at the Commercial Hotel.
