MAN SUFFERING FROM * STROKE

WALKS MECHANICALLY OVER WHARF (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, 20th June. Rescued from the water by means of a boat hook and rope a man who amazed bystanders by mechanically walking to the edge of the wharf and falling into the harbour, proved to be suffering from a stroke. The hospital reported two hours later that he was still in a state of seizure and unable to open his mouth or unclench his hands. His name and address have not been discovered.
