OTTAWA AGREEMENT
REVISION WITH CANADA PRELIMINARY DISCUSSIONS (British Official Wireless) (Received 17th June, 11.30 a.m.).*' RUGBY, 16th June. In a Parliamentary answer, the President of the Board of Trade, the Hon. Walter Runciman, announced that preliminary discussions with a view to the revision of the Ottawa agreement with-Canada, would begin shortly. The Association of British Chambers of Commerce, the Federation of British Industries, and the National Union-, of Manufacturers, as well as bodies representing particular industries, have been' invited to furnish observations to the Board of Trade. : Mr Runciman that, the question of similar consultations with industry in connection with the possible revision of the Ottawa agreements with other parts of the Empire did not arise at present.
