WELCOME REBEKAH LODGE The fortnightly meeting of Welcome Rebekah Lodge was held in the Rechabite Hall, the N.G. Sister Sherwood presiding over a splendid attendance of members. Apologies were received on behalf of the V.G., who was reported sick, and of another officer on account of sickness in her family. On the recommendation of the Social Committee it was decided to hold an invitation dance next lodge night. The meeting will be held at 7.15 p.m. and the dance will be started at 8.15 p.m. Any members desiring invitations were requested to obtain them from any member of the committee. Members were reminded of the invitation received from the 1.0. R. to a flag 500 evening to be held in the Rechabite Hall on Thursday, the 25th. It was decided to place the selection of the competition bowling teams on a better footing, and Bro. Brough was appointed coach and sole selector. The secretary intimated that it would be necessary for members holding medical accounts for refund to hand in the accounts before the end of the month, to be available for the quarterly refunds. Permission was given to the secretary to have the honours board brought up to date. It was reported that the Grand Warden, Bro. G. F. Rudkin, was at present very ill, and the secretary was instructed to write to Bro. Rudkin conveying the sympathy of the members and wishing him a speedy recovery. After the meeting the members were entertained at supper by the hostesses of the evening, and the coach took the opportunity of instructing some of the members in the art of indoor bowling.
