THREE MILE RACE CLUB MATCH FOR KINNAIRD TROPHY (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, 13th June. 1 In an inter-club match for the Kinnaird Trophy at White City, Lovelock, representing the Achilles Club, won the three miles in 14 minutes 20 1-5 seconds, a record for the contest, beating Hadland by twelve yards. The New Zealander won easily with the leaders throughout the race. He sprinted over the final hundred yards and won amid enthusiasm. Brown won the hundred yards in 9.9 seconds, beating Sweeney, the British and Empire Games champion by inches. Brown also won the quarter-mile in 48.3 seconds, a record for the contest, beating Rampling, the British record holder by a yard.
