MEETING OF SIIEDWOOD LODGE J INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS * The half-yearly summoned meeting of Shedwood Lodge No. 45, U.A.0.D., was held in the Druids’ Hall, Tapawera, on Saturday evening, and the following visitors were present: ‘ P.D.P. Bro. E. Irvine, P.A. Bro. S. Stephens, and Bros. H. Manson and F. Bird (Maitai Lodge); P.D.P. Bro. M. Gibbs and V.A. Bro. A. Bruce (Murchison Lodge). Arrangements were made for the annual plain and fancy dress ball to be held in the Druids’ Hall, Tapawera, on 3rd July, for which there will be two first prizes and two second prizes; also a special prize for the most original dress made by the wearer. > It was resolved that the prices of ; ’ admission be 2s 6d, 2s, and 4s double : ticket, and the function to be ad- : vertised on two occasions. • I The election of officers for the en- ■ suing term resulted as follows: A.D., 1 Bro. Olson; V.A., Bro. D. Barker; I secretary, Bro. H. ju. Gibbs; treasurer, ’ Bro. W. H. Greep; 1.G., Bro. Walker; ! 0.G., Bro. Wadsworth; A.D.B.’s, Bros, i K. W. Biggs and A. A. Biggs; V.A.B.’s 1 Bros. R. Bothwell and P. Wadsworth; organist, Bro. E. R. Friend; M.C., Bro.’ S. Wadsworth. The officers were installed by the j District President (Bro. W. W. , Delaney), assisted by P.D.P. Bro. e! Irvine. | All the officers returned; thanks , for their election, after which the meeting was closed to allow other ( visitors to be present for a social, j P.S. Bro. H. Gibbs proposed the toast of “The District President,” and congratulated Bro. Delaney upon the j very efficient manner in which he had ; carried out his duties. He also expressed the pleasure of the lodge in having visitors present from Maitai and Murchison Lodges and a member of the Loyal Mataki Lodge MIT 1.0.0. F. ’ Bro. Delaney suitably replied, and asked that as many members of Shedwood Lodge as could make the journey, would visit Murchison on Saturday, 20th June. The toast of “Murchison Lodge” was proposed by P.D.P. Bro. Friend and replied to by P.D.P. Bro. M. Gibbs who stated he had been a member of ■ Minchison Lodge since its inception about 35 years ago. bv2 d r!.
