MAN ADMITS THEFT (United Press Association) HAWERA, 25th May. A story of gambling on cards and racehorses was unfolded in the Magistrate’s Court this morning when Hector Albert Stewart was charged with the theft of £576 6s 2d while in the employ of the Egmont Box Company. The defalcations covered a period from February to 15$h May of this year. The accused pieaded guilty, and was remanded to the New Plymouth Supreme Court for sentence tomorrow.
