V r r ' y /;; M. { EMERGENCY ASSOCIATION READY FOR SERVICE Through parting when on a tramp on the Dun Mountain track yesterday three Stoke boys, G. McMurtry, B. Allnatt and W. King were still on the hills looking for each other when darkness set in last evening. A party of searchers went out and found the boys on the track during the evening. However in the meantime the police and the Nelson Emergency Association had been informed and a party of 60 had been organised at the Nelson Fire Station ready to commence a night search when word was received that the boys were safe. When on the Dun track one of the boys decided to go on further, the others to wait for him. The two lads who were together went into the bush looking for ferns and while they were off the track the other boy returned, and not seeing his mates he thought that they had gone on down to the reservoir. The two who had been looking for ferns became alarmed when it was getting late and their mate had not returned and so they went oh up the track to find him. In the meantime the lad who was on his own found that the three bicycles of the party were at the reservoir, and so after telephoning his father, he returned to look for the other two. A party of searchers was soon organised and found the boys on the track.. The Nelson Emergency Association is an organised body of bushmen and experienced trampers, whose services are available for searches.or other cases of emergency. On Sunday „ when a young man was lost on the Wanga'moa the Association organised ' the search party.
