KING AND BELFAST
THE CORONATION PROGRAMME
(By Air Mail—From Our Own Correspondent) LONDON, 30th April. Several people who arc, or will be, as sociatcd with the Coronation arrangements as soon as the date is announced, arc talking of the King’s visit to Ireland and Scotland, after the Coronation at Westminster Abbey. It is taken for granted that these visits will automatically materialise and that so far as Ireland is concerned, Belfast will have the pleasure of seeing the King, while Edinburgh will have the honour of having him in residence at the Palace of ITolyroodhousc some time during the summer. A similar programme was carried out by King Edward and also by King George. Both visited Dublin and Edinburgh. Lord Shaftesbury will have good reason (o recall the Dublin visit, for whilst King George and Queen Mary were there, he, with Lord Kitchener, was invosled with the cloak and insignia and jewels of the Order of St. Patrick. This was, I believe, the last full-dress investiture of anyone admitted to lb? Order. Whilst these engagements are being discussed as certain items of the Coronation programme, nothing definite in regard to dates has yet been settled,
