NO ADDITIONAL APPOINTMENTS YET HON. W. NASH TO RETAIN FINANCE PRIME MINISTER’S STATEMENT (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. No additional appointments to the Ministry will be made for some time vet, according to a statement made by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, in an interview. ‘T certainly discussed in general terms the advisability of increasing the numerical strength of the Cabinet,” Mr Savage said. “With the pressure of work under which Ministers are labouring at present, an increase is inevitable. However the matter of making additional appointments is not one for myself to decide as Prime Minister. It has to receive the consideration of the Government as a whole.” The Prime Minister added that the visit to Britain of the Hon. W. Nash would not necessitate his relinguisliing the portfolio of Finance. “Mr Nash is Minister of Finance and will remain Minister of Finance while this Government is in office,” said Mr Savage.
