BAND SUBSIDIES
(To iho Editor) Sir, —The Council has granted the Regimental Band a subsidy, showing that Mr Cole's opinion, has not carried iiy weight. Far better if Mr Cole won hi just let bis. opinions or giievanco towards the Band fade away and enjoy his music without worry. He started the correspondence himself so must expect answers, whether anonymous or otherwise. —-1 am, etc., DUM DUM. Nelson. 22nd Mav.
