AUCKLAND TO WELLINGTON MINISTER’S COMMENT ON STATEMENT (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Bay. Commenting on his statement in the House of Representatives regarding ex* tension of the commercial air service from Auckland to Wellington, the Minister of Transport, the Hon. R. Semple, said representatives of Union Airways had discussed with him their company s plans for a service between Wellington and Auckland. It was proposed 10 run a daily service both ways with stops ai Palmerston North and New Plymouth, and the scheduled time for the journey tc he three hours. Details of the proposals had not yet been discussed, bui the whole matter would he investigated thoroughly when Union Airways applied for a license.
