NEW SHIPPING COMPANY
CANADIAN NATIONAL VESSELS TO BE ACQUIRED
SERVICE TO AUSTRALIA AND
NEW ZEALAND

(Received 21st May, 12.20 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. A new shipping company the “Mon-treal-Australia-New Zealand Line, Limited,” has been formed to acquire the service at present- run by the Canadian national steamships from Eastern Canada to Australian and New Zealand ports. There are at present nine freighters engaged in this service, but it is likely these ships will be supplemented when required and ultimately be replaced by faster vessels. r The new company has been lormed bv the New Zealand Shipping Company, the Commonwealth and Dominion Line, arid the Ellerman and Bucknall Steamship Company. The head office will be at Sydney.
