Von Nida successfully defended his open Queensland golf title at the Royal Queensland Course with an aggregate of 297. He is the first player to win the championship in two successive years and his third round of 70 broke the course record. A. Waterson, New South Wales with 1)03 was second and M. Ryan, Victoria, and J. Spence, New South Wales, with 300, were equal third.
