(United Press Association) AUCKLAND. 27tli March. Injury to an eye may result in partial loss of sight to W. F. Smith, the well-known swimmer and former cap tain of the Auckland water polo team. While playing in an inter-lioii.se water polo match at the Tepid Batin be was accidentally struck by an opposing player of 11.M.5. Philomel. 11“ received medical attention, but a later examination reveals that a piece of tissue was removed from the eyeba.ll by the player’s finger.
