PUSH CYCLIST KILLED
COLLISION WITH CAR J' -<•■■■ -■ •- -• !- ;■ , (United Press Association) DUNEDIN, 24th March. While cycling home from work l 'this evening Samuel Gilchrist, 55 years of age, married, of Bayview Road,' Waitati, collided with a car on Mount Cargill and was Rilled. Mr Gilchrist was employed in a foundary in the city and was cycling behind a lorry laden with timber. Swerving to the right he hit a car travelling in the opposite direction and was killed instantly. Both legs were broken and he was severely cut about the head.
