RELIEF WORKS IN HAMILTON
TO CEASE FROM TO-DAY (By Telegraph—Press Association) HAMILTON, This Day. After six years the provision of relief under No. 5 scheme ceased to-day in the Hamilton Borough lit conformity with the Council’s contention that all necessary work should be paid for at standard rates. During the six- years work under Nr. 5 scheme in Hamilton lias cost approximately £56.000. Unemployed who cannot find work elsewhere will be placed on sustenance.
