CENTENARY OF NEW ZEALAND

DUNEDIN’S PART

DUNEDIN, 31st January. The share which Dunedin will take in the celebration of the centenary of New Zealand in 1940 will be discussed at a meeting next Thursday. The Mayor, the Rev. E. T. Cox, stated today that he had decided to call a meeting of those interested. Special invitations will be extended to representatives of local bodies. Mr Cox said he proposed to have an informal discussion on the subject of celebrations to be held in Dunedin and also regarding the cooperation which should be extended to Wellington in holding the exhibition there.
