RECORD ENTRIES RECEIVED FINE WEATHER AND MANY VISITORS OPENING CEREMONY BY MR K. J. HOLYOAKE, M.P. (Bv Telegraph—From Our Own Reporter) TAKAKA, This Day. The forty-third annual show of the Golden Bay A. and P. Association today was favoured by hot summer weather. Visitors were present from all parts of the district, many making the trip from Nelson and Motueka.

Record entries were received, the total being 2260 against 2024 last year. A pleasing feature was the substantial increase in the light horse section, entries showing an increase from 98 last year to 130. Increased interest lias been created ill the school section, which contains 806 entries compared with 624 iast year. The season lias been most favourable for stock all of which were shown in excellent order.

The show was officially opened this afternoon by Mr K. J. Holyoake, M.P. for Motueka.
