Withdrawals increased all round owing to firm limits, but the bulk sold fully at current rates. ; New Zealand scoured, Otomatapaio, top price 25d, average 24|d; greasy, half bred, HII, ton 16d, average 14 id. During the series 91,200 bales were offered. The home trade bought 44,000, the Continent 36,000, and America 3,000. There were 18,500 bales held over, of which 12,500 was not offered. The total sales of ‘Australian were approximately 47.000 and New Zealand 30,500. The tone of the market wag firm throughout. Merino super spinner wools 21 per cent, advance; top-making styles fully 5 per cent, dearer; scoured combings, finished 71 per cent, up; short faulty scoureds advanced W to 15 per cent. ; fine coarse grades of crossbreds maintained the- initial ten per cent, advances: mediums weakened in the closing stages and are 5 per cent. up.
