BROADCAST OF CEREMONY
RELAYS TO THE WORLD RUGBY, 29th January. The broadcasts of the ceremony in London and at Windsor yesterday. in connection with the funeral of King George were relayed in most of the Dominions and British colonies and in many foreign countries. The broadcasts were made by means of eleven microphones on the procession route in London and sixteen at Windsor, including those in St. George’s Chapel. Reports state that reception was good in most parts of Europe, and satisfactory results are also reported from Canada, India, South Africa, Australia, and the United States. The foreign countries in which relays of the broadcasts took place included France, Belgium, Holland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Italy, Germany, Japan, Egypt, North and South America, the Dutch East Indies, Switzerland, Algeria, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Rumania, Morocco, and Yugoslavia.
