Mr Fraser said the Government realised that it could not transform' the education system overnight, but it was felt that a start should be made on the examination system. Referring to the Atrnore Report, the Minister said that there were proposals in it which would not meet with the approval of all, but the report would be taken as a basis.- The assistance'of the Education Department, school committees, teachers: and parents as far as they could be reached ' would be enlisted. Nothing would be rushed, but there would be no undue delay.
